Celebrating the coronation in style

The King’s coronation marked an important time in history, and as such, we decided to celebrate in the only way we knew how.

By creating a delicious coronation-themed menu for one of our fantastic clients!

This software business wanted to bring the festivities into their office, using it as an opportunity to bring the team together for a social event and an opportunity to catch up, build stronger relationships, and enjoy themselves with some high-quality themed catering.

What was the coronation?

On Saturday, May 6th King Charles III and Queen Camilla were coronated live on the BBC.

The coronation was a formal confirmation of King Charles III as our reigning monarch, and the powers and responsibilities that come with such a role.

The King was presented with several ceremonial objects, including the crown jewels, while thousands watched on in person and millions from their TV screens.

The Flourish coronation lunch

When creating the coronation menu for our client, we had a few objectives in mind. For starters, we wanted to ensure majority of our ingredients were locally sourced, keeping with the theme of the day.

Secondly, we needed to create a menu tailored to everyone’s needs. You will see from the array of options we provided we ensured no staff member missed out on the occasion.

Finally, we wanted a menu our client and their staff would love. That meant lots of testing, deliberation, and hard work.

Here is the end result:

The benefits of workplace meals

As many of our clients have discovered, there are numerous benefits to investing in workplace meals, other than just the delicious meals on offer.

Increased job satisfaction

For starters, offering workplace meals for your staff is an excellent way to boost excitement in the workplac and increase retention.

Having a high staff turnover can be extremely expensive and time-consuming. By providing delicious workplace meals as an additional benefit for your employees, you are contributing to a happier, healthier team.

Improved productivity and creativity

Secondly, offering high-quality workplace meals will also help improve employee productivity and creativity. Rather than hitting the 3 pm wall as most people do, the healthy and nutritious lunches on offer will provide your team with the energy they need to continue producing fantastic work.

Better working relationships

Providing your team with workplace meals also allows them to build better working relationships. While there are many benefits to working from home, it can sometimes be tricky to build the same rapport over Microsoft Teams as in person!

By creating a reason for your team to come into the office on the same day, you offer them a perfect opportunity to get to know each other better and build closer relationships, the benefits of which will spill over into their working lives.
